- Subject to "Spices Board" approval, bidders may alter the day, time, and location of the auction at the auctioneer's discretion.
- The weekly auctions are only open to authorized licensed cardamom dealers, as determined by the auctioneer's administration. These licensed dealers are required to register with both the state's sales tax and the Kerala General Tax/Central Sales Tax Act to conduct business in those states. Although they must have adequate and legal authorization from their principal, authorized representatives of the licensed dealer are permitted to attend and bid in the auction.
- Every dealer planning to attend and place a bid at an auction must fill out, sign, and present a registration form with the information requested. Demand draught or $1,000, which will be returned at the conclusion of the current auction season.
- Each bidder must pay the purchase price for the lots he has placed a bid on and confirm the bid with two checks written in the name, one for an estimated 10% of the total value that can withdrawn as cash within three days of the auction date and the other for the remaining 90% that can withdrawn as cash within thirteen days of the auction date.
